Given that the Internet is the ultimate information highway, blogging has moved into the mainstream as a way for the average person to express himself or herself, communicate their ideas and perhaps making money at blogging.
How to earn money on blogs is a question that keeps cropping up. We’ll give you a few ideas here.
A couple of different ways for you to be able to make money at blogging are –
Work for a company that will pay you to write certain topics.
Work for a company that will pay you to post blog comments.
Set up your own blog and get paid a commission on sales originating from your blog.
Set up your own blog and sell advertising space.
1. First off you need to be a good writer. You will need to have a portfolio of your writings and a good knowledge of subjects and topics that a company would be interested in hiring you for. One good way is to search on the Internet for web sites that appeal to you and write the web master and apply for a blogging position.

This will take some time and effort. However, if your writing is very good, then you will find some companies that will give you a tryout period then perhaps hire you for more long term work. It is usually a part-time position and the money isn’t really enough to make a living on but it can generate a decent part-time income.
2. There are literally tons of companies and web site owners that will
pay you to search out blogs that have similar or pertinent information about a product or service that they offer and have you simply post a 100 – 200 word comment on that blog with either keywords that link back to their site or even a plain link itself.
Again this is part-time work and it pays anywhere from 50 cents to a buck or so for each comment you post so it will not make you rich but a little extra pizza and beer money doesn’t hurt.
3. Making money with your own blog is a bit more difficult than working for someone else because you will need to generate traffic to your blog, and that traffic needs to click on one of your ads or links and purchase something in order for you to get paid.
As you can see, blogging can be really fun and entertaining but unless you have the know-how and understand the methods and techniques that it takes to become really successful, then just enjoy blogging as a part-time way to make a little bit of extra cash or possibly even a full time income.
